That’s why market of audio books has been growing consistently for the past few years. There are a lot of hi-fi new generation mobile phones as well as mp3 player, by which young generations can read the books anytime anywhere. You can imagine the popularity of audio books that some publishers have started to predict that some popular audio books will outsell e-book or paper-book one day. Coloring gives an opportunity to kids to express their imagination, and also give a chance to improve their color combination skills. So you should consider some point before selecting a coloring book for your baby.

Theme: The book that you choose for your baby must have a theme and your baby must have an interest for this theme and it should be inspirational for your baby. Like if your baby boy like super heroes, so you should select a theme which is based on super hero such as Spiderman, He-man etc. or your baby girl like dolls so select some coloring books of Barbie theme or princess theme. You can also select characters like animals, vehicles, sports, fruits, vegetables, holidays, religions, numbers, alphabets and many more.

Your local comic dealer can be a great place to buy comics if you have a good and trustworthy shop in your area. Many who’ve read my articles on comic investing know that I have an immeasurable distrust for many of these dealers.

However, if you have a shop run by a decent dealer, these places are great to find many silver age, bronze age, copper age and modern books to purchase. You can inspect them with your very own eyes, and haggle as well.

2. Craigslist!

Yeah, I know! Craigslist is an online site, but you still have to meet the seller in person in order to buy. In some areas,quite a few people are selling off their entire collection on craigslist. The great thing is you can inspect the books before you buy them, too.

3. Comic Conventions!

Comic conventions is one of the best places to get comics, especially key silver age and bronze age books. If your area has a huge comic convention that rolls around every year or so, hit up these places to get great deals. They’re also loads of fun too!

When it comes to older books, always have the seller show you the book him or herself. Don’t flip through it yourself. The reason for this is because if you damage the book, guess what? You just bought it. When it comes to golden, silver and bronze age books always have the seller show you it so you can inspect it to see if it has any flaws they may have missed.

Children’s books can be expensive and children tend to outgrow even their favorite books quite quickly. You should consider borrowing books from the public library to start with. Many libraries now offer board books for infants and toddlers plus picture books for preschoolers. Garage sales and sales conducted by libraries are good sources of inexpensive books. Or you can organize a book exchange in your neighborhood or preschool so children can trade books. Discount stores, bookstores and Internet book sellers all have bargain sections or run specials. Your parent educator or librarian may also have suggestions for sources of inexpensive or free books in your area.

Your children’s precious books should be kept in a place that is easily accessible for them. Shelves should not be too high up or easily reachable with a stool. You may wish to buy a small bookcase where they can be proudly displayed. Nothing is more gratifying to a child then having them choose the book they want you to read and this decision is made simpler if they are neatly placed at their eye-level. Having a large cardboard box that the child is allowed to decorate with artwork or doodling is another option. Although you may want only those books with hardcover in such a box to avoid serious damage.

Apart from nice big solid fonts for the words, and plenty of colorful pictures, good books for young children need to be well made and durable. Young children like to really explore their favorite books, carrying them around, tugging on the pages, and even biting them. As a child grows older, he or she will enjoy photographs or realistic pictures which help them relate the book to familiar things in their environment. Preschoolers are attracted to a wide variety of pictures or graphics in books. Good stories with interesting characters and a plot with lots of action also appeal to preschoolers, whereas babies and toddlers are interested in books with just a few words on the page or ones that label objects in the pictures. Choose books for all ages that picture people with a variety of cultures, races, physical abilities or occupations.

Books for babies to 1 year: Thick cardboard pages, Pages with different textures for feel (cloth, smooth, rough), Small, chunky format, Simple, bright pictures or photos, Few large words on a page and Themes that encourage sounds (farm animals, vehicles, etc.)

Books for toddlers and twos: Cardboard or thick paper pages, Repetition of words or phrases, Colorful pictures to enhance story, A story told in a few, simple words, Nursery rhymes or rhyming words, Stories about familiar, everyday things and Simple concepts like colors or shapes

Books for preschoolers: Increasingly more complicated stories, Stories about different cultures and places, Folktales, Stories about issues children face (fears, separation, starting school), Rhyming text or poetry, Humorous plots or characters, Non-fiction subjects and Color, letter or number themes

So start the happy childhood experience of reading to your baby or child. Your baby will love to hear the familiar voice of mummy or daddy even if he or she may not understand the story. For older children, there are few bonding experiences, that are both educational and emotionally rewarding, that will leave such a lasting impact on a child’s development.

You can find various interesting books in these sets, like great short tales giving some morals, and benefits of eating fruits and vegetables etc. And one of the most important things is that several books lay stress on family values, that is very important to teach in today’s life. There even are some mind games that would train kids for math and science interesting problems by making them enjoy. Apart from that, there are even some books on poetry and arts that would make your kid aware of arts.

When children learn to read, they want to read as many things that they get, as it is something that they have recently discovered. It is best to give them something that suits their requirements something like kids’ educational books. These books would make studies fun for them, and they can enjoy their classes more when they get that math and science are actually fun. This would even develop their interest in studies and they will obtain good grades in school and later in college.
